Logo Misuse
Always scale proportionally and leave at least 1/4X clear space (measured by logo width) around the mark.
Never change the logo's aspect ratio to force it into a container, and never tilt, rotate, or stretch it in a single direction.
Use the color or dark version on light backgrounds, the white version on dark backgrounds, and the white version on 70%–100% gray.
The core logo must not receive gradients, 3D effects, outer glows, drop shadows, or additional outlines.
Include the community's independent-operation statement in certification, login, and intro flows.
The logo should not be combined with the university emblem, department names, or official document layouts, to preserve the community's distinct visual identity.
Official University Marks
The Chongqing University of Technology emblem and standard wordmark are registered trademarks of the university. They must not be used to imply or impersonate official identity. Without written authorization, community projects must not use the university's official full mark; authorized contexts must follow the official VI manual for composition, clear space, colors, and minimum sizes, sourced directly from the official vector files on the university website — never redrawn.
Color Modifications
In monochrome or special printing, pure black, pure white, or Brand Blue are allowed, but the logo's palette must not be altered per-repository or per-project. Gold is limited to the approved nodes and small accents and must not be used over large areas. A project's own brand colors belong only in its specific icon or cover design and must never tamper with the organization logo.
Naming & Avatars
When registering on third-party services, names, avatars, and bios should clearly read as personal or project-specific, avoiding names that could be confused with the community's main account. Community members introducing themselves externally may use "CQUT-OSP contributor" or "participant", but should not present themselves as official spokespersons of the organization.
